The award winning 1977 Sofa, modular elegance.
King Living came to us wanting to reinvent a King icon from the 1970s without losing what made it beloved. The 1977 was designed as a system of interchangeable modules that read as one considered silhouette, i recieved a patent for the innovative armrest fixing method, it uses the feet spigots and i a novel approach. It went on to become King Living's most successful launch in over a decade, lifting revenue more than 20% for three consecutive years, and won both an iF Design Award and Good Design Award Best in Class. The award winning 1978 Sofa, Bold comfort.
Once the 1977 existed, the brief shifted: could the same language support a completely different feeling? The 1978 takes the modular DNA of the original and raises the back height, trading the low, relaxed posture for something more enclosing and formal. The challenge was proportion — get the backrest height wrong and it either loses comfort or loses elegance. The 1978 finds the balance, bold and enveloping without losing the family resemblance.

Taking an internationally awarded indoor sofa outside meant solving for two conflicting demands: it had to survive harsh Australian weather, and it couldn't lose the comfort or refinement that made the original special. Reticulated foam and a lightweight aluminium frame did the heavy lifting, letting the silhouette stay intact while performing in sun, rain and pool decks. It's paired with the Myco Outdoor table — ultra-thin metal discs cantilevered off an impossibly slender stem, powder coated for Australian conditions with a rubber base built for the outdoors.

A different brief entirely: survive mess and daily play, flat-pack for shipping, and still feel like the sofa kids actually want in the room. Machine-washable covers, Velcro flat-pack construction.

Designing for Bunnings means solving a very specific tension: how do you deliver genuine design quality at true mass-market pricing, without either compromising showing through? The Studio Wall System proves the two aren't mutually exclusive — considered, well-resolved storage design at a price point that made it viable for national retail.
SOL-MIX for Zenith Interiors.
Most office systems solve for one mode — meetings, social, focus, collaboration. SOL-MIX had to flex across all four at once, supporting both individual wellbeing and team dynamism.
Pavilion. Acoustic privacy hub
Real acoustic attenuation in a structure that still feels light and mobile, not a fixed room. Three parts, in-built lighting, folding roof, fully upholstered. The brief was to fit in an elevator and move between floors, found throughout ANZ offices globally.
Verse - Modular acoustic rooms.
Enhanced privacy for the workplace, fully DDA-compliant. Verse contains conversation inside the room via acoustic-treated panels, dampening sound leakage in both directions. Integrated air circulation, lighting, and electrical looms are all BCA-compliant and engineered into a flat-pack system that assembles with a few basic hand tools. A standout feature: a floor-levelling system built for uneven floors, with a full panel-to-panel seal maintaining both acoustics and airflow.

At Zenexus, a major supplier to Bunnings, the challenge was manufacturing scale — designing a storage range that could hit national retail cost targets without feeling generic. The result: a sleek ladder-frame system with hooks integrated neatly into the shelving and a rear cross-brace for stability, available with door and drawer options. It won the contract and is now sold nationwide.

The challenge was translating child development research into product — I mapped developmental milestones across age groups into a matrix, then designed toys to complement each stage. That research-led approach shaped some of the best selling children's toys in Kmart at launch.

Boab occasional table range - biophilic design.
Biophilic curves rise from a base of timber and marble into a sinuous metal neck. Tool-free construction — a 20mm threaded rod on the underside of the tabletop screws into the base by hand, with a rubber gasket to stop it working loose over time.
Candy lighting - Distinctively modern.
